About Us

"Some people exist, others live.
The difference is often a simple matter of fitness.
The choice is nearly always yours." - David Hegarty

For 41 of his 68 years, David Hegarty has taught the Dynamic Health system to thousands of individuals. People have learned the principles, practised them, and enjoyed the rewards.

After a serious illness in his youth, Hegarty began to practise simple and effective fitness strategies.

Over the years, he has developed and refined courses so they can be done in the privacy of the home, or in the convenience of the car. These can be adopted by anyone, at any age, provided they are not clinically ill.

"Being fit and well is a skill", says Hegarty, "like playing an instrument, learning to swim, riding a bike. It can be learned. Then practised. Simply. That’s what people are doing, and then just getting on with their lives, better equipped to cope and live."

WHAT THE PAPERS SAY

The Sunday Business Post
"A lot of people come and go in the fitness industry, because it's relatively new. But someone who is more enthusiastic than he was over 30 years ago, is David Hegarty. That's just one of the reasons I admire him.

He's a purist, as well as being one of the longest established. He knows what it's all about, and conducts his business with integrity. David Hegarty is what the fitness industry is all about."

The Sunday Independent
"The secret of good health is much simpler than you think… Hegarty’s no-nonsense approach is a breath of fresh air…. no mystery to good health… people tell him they never thought it could be so simple… no gimmicks… plain-speaking advice… anyone who follows will see a difference... guaranteed."

The Daily Star
"At long last, a book full of sense... begins with the easiest of exercises - standing straight. David takes a very different approach. The diagrams he uses are great for explaining. These are matters that will interest people who work indoors and are subject to heaters and air conditioners. For the benfit of those who have never exercised, he begins slowly. Hegarty tackles the issue of diet... adds practical advice... so easy, it doesn't even feel like a chore."

The Sunday World
"This is a less painful method of getting fit and improving your physical and mental health - reduce stress, improve concentration and bestow a sense of well being... no hard exercise, no loud music, no impossible diets - you can turn your body into a trim fit unit... can even be practised in your car, in the office or on the bus..."

Fitness is a key to health. We have more influence over our health than we realise.  A fundamental fitness can be achieved by anyone who is sound in wind and limb.  The experience of courses, workshops, and seminars has led to the development of the products available on this site.

Not everyone has the time or the inclination to sit in traffic on the way to a gym, queue for equipment on the crowded floor, battle their way through congested swimming pools, or run around the streets at six in the morning.

Dynamic Health can obviate these stressful conventions.  Dynamic Health can be practised in the car, the kitchen, the office, the workshop, the hotel room, or the gym. You take it with you wherever you go.  It is used by people from age 15 to over 80.

It is the skill of using the natural resources that are available to all, all of the time. It effectively turns every activity into a beneficial exercise.  The aim of the system is to get fit, healthy and well; for life and for living. It is a practical means to an end.

"Everyone has the right to be as well as they can", Hegarty continues, "You don’t have to be a fanatic. If you want the energy, the wellness, the sense of vitality, that comes from being basically fit, and harness that desire to the learning and the practice of the principles, it's almost physically impossible not to get a good result. I believe everyone owes themselves that chance"

Dynamic Health teaches how to turn the body into a trim, fit, naturally well, health-promoting unit.  Like the courses, the book and the CDs on this site will help you create a fitness for life, a normal bodyweight, and a real sense of well-being.

"As an individual, you are your own greatest asset.", says Hegarty. "I believe that asset should be given every chance to flourish".
